He's one of my favorite fighters, and to me really helps sell this PPV, but he's currently 13-11 and his glory days are surely past him. If he loses to Blaydes, is that close to being it for him?

Not even close, couldn’t risk him being scooped up by Bellator

Isn't he retiring after this fight or the one after it? He's a heavyweight and the threat of a KO is always there so why would he need to get cut? There's people with worse records on the roster.

They need him for Aussie cards. plus HW is not packed enough to cut anyone.

as long as he brings revenue and name value to the UFC, they will not cut him.

When Tim Johnson elbows him in the forehead.

he's at the point where he still draws a crowd and still can throw a bomb. to a lesser extent I would imagine the ufc brand benefits by having international fighters on the roster when they have cards outside of the states.

Pretty sure he KTFO Derick Lewis in his last fight, why would he get cut ? He would need to lose like 4 fights straight

problem is, he could probably beat half of the top 10 on any given day. just depends which half lol

His record has never been good

But he almost always fights top guys

Very few cans on his record

Pretty sure he came into UFC with a losing record, a severe weight problem, a massive losing streak, and the fans belief that his best days were behind him.

His record is meaningless and he isn’t really past it. He can still be Mark Hunt

Never. He has an entire country behind him, Dana said so himself. Also isn't even on a losing streak.

Well Artem has a negative record and he never got cut.

They're going to cut a guy who is still top 5 in a division with no depth?

You people obsess too much about cutting fighters. There are a lot of fighters with mediocre UFC records. He's one of the most well-known heavyweights, and his fights are entertaining. Who gives a shit if he doesn't win all the time.

After Hunt murder KO's UFC's African Superstar Ngannou. WME executives and Dana will cry privately and cut him out of pure spite.

He looked great against Lewis and he's about to shade another athletic explosive up and comer in Curtis Blaydes so not just yet.
