Conspiracy: The UFC elite and McGregor promotions got together and offered RDA a check to pull out + offered more $$$ for an eventual fight with Conor at UFC 200. In the meantime, Conor is saved from not only potentially losing a fight but his hype going into UFC 200. Now he can dust Nate in a very entertaining fight for the fans and would gain even more popularity anyway because he was always willing to fight RDA but it had to be delayed due to an 'injury'.
