Some great fights last night at UFC 196. I said Holm and Conor would win. I was wrong. I thought Tate had the best chance at winning if either of the underdogs did because she was skilled and had a better chin than Rousey and is a better striker. I've said that Tate had all the tools to beat Rousey but had a low Fight IQ. Everytime Tate had Rousey hurt instead of finishing her with strikes she'd go for the TD and quickly get reversed and submitted. If Tate wants to successfully defend her title against Rousey she should just keep it standing.
One of the biggest questions about Conor was if his power would transfer up to the heavier weight-classes. Guess not because Nate ate a bunch of Conor's lefts. Granted, Nate has an iron chin like Nick. But he took those punches like a champ. Also, Conor didn't lose his belt but he was a champ who was defeated albeit at a different weight-class.
Really interested to see Conor, Holm, Tate, and Diaz's next fights.
