Match: Tim Sylvia (13-0) vs Wesley Correria (7-3)
Event: UFC 39 (9-27-2002)

Tim Sylvia, Militech Fighting Systems, was a rising heavyweight star in the UFC, while Correria was a boxer/judo fighter out of Hawaii who trained with notable MMA fighters Frankie Vitale and B.J. Penn. Correria is also known to have a granite chin, and the legend of it was on pure display in this match. Correria had fought most of his matches at Rumble On The Rock a Hawaii MMA organization, now defunct, this is his first UFC event. Sylvia, a very tall 6'6"" fighter out of Bettendorf, Iowa, had trained with legenday fighters./coaches Matt Hughes (UFC welterweight champion) and Pat Militech (former UFC welterweight champion). Sylvia had also fought most of his matches at Superbrawl, also a Hawaii MMA organization, also defunct. Both fighters would start off aggressive right away, but it would quickly become an absolutely, one sided match as Sylvia barraged Coerreria with an assortment of jabs and power right hand bombs, with Correria having the crowd's respect surviving an onslaught which made the announcers respond in astonishment at Correria's durability.

That was brutal to watch, same when Cabbage took a beating from Arlovski.
