It was one heck of a fight which left both dogs hurt and wounded......Max broke his foot and Conor blew out his knee.Who knew these two would end up being the two biggest dogs in the pound only behind King Aldo........


IMO top 3 FW in the world right now are

1)Jose Aldo
2)Conor McGregor
3)Max Halloway
 
Both are doing big things and Max is definitely top 4-5 at 145. Would love to see Max fight Chad. Frankie gets next title shot after McGregor Aldo.

They'll fight again. But I see Conor winning the rematch.
 
Max is a big time talent would like to see him fight Frankie...has a shot FW title Conor moves up! He is Conor's biggest challenge in the divison on the feet!
 
Nice rhetoric with the pups thing but you can't slip in Max to the top 3 just like that. Mendes and Frankie are still ahead of him until he beats one of the top 4.
 
Max has improved tremendously since that fight, more so than Conor has. However, he hasn't fought Edgar, Mendes, or Lamas. All 3 of them have beaten Swanson, so it is unfair to use that to rank Max above them.
 
I think he proved to be a legitimate striker and clearly top 10. He doesn't have a defining win to place him in the top 5 though.
 
Your top three is inaccurate based off of current accomplishments, but I do like Max though and I think he challenges for the title in 2016.
 
He's definitely the 5th best featherweight behind Chad Mendes and Frankie Edgar.

He won't advance past these guys until he learns an offensive grappling game. Other than that, his striking and footwork shown against 1 dimensional Cub looked great and more than makes up for his grappling deficiencies (when compared to the FW top 4).

Cub is not one-dimensional.
 
Max Holloway over Frankie Edgar and Chad Mendes? UWUT M8? Their fight was like a prospects/contenders fight that decides who was going to take over and who was going to be a stone to step on. \

Conor is not behind aldo. He's ahead of him.

How can you say he's improved more than conor has? Based on what exactly. conor just destroyed the #1 guy on the world within 2 rounds. What has max done to compare with that?

He had only beat everybody he has faced since Conor.....
