At what point does reach make a legit difference? 3 inches? 4?

Obviously it is not just reach but how a fighter uses it but just curious.

If a fighter has a good jab or a good cross, it makes a difference in the first half inch.

If a fighter knows how to use it then any reach advantage at all makes a difference.

Range only makes a difference when it is utilized properly.

  6. All things being equal, i'd say even as little as a 1/2 inch.

Even height makes a big difference if there is not much of a reach advantage.

Punching down to your opponent is much easier than reaching up.

It makes a difference when 2 people fight each other, and one of them has a longer reach

Reach is just a myth. It doesn't really exist.

When two equally skilled people meet. Any advantage will tell if a proper game plan is implemented.

Not as often as you'd think.

When a fighter is really good and has a reach advantage, much will be made about the reach advantage. When a fighter is really good and doesn't have a huge reach, nothing much is said about their reach.

True. You have to know what you're good at and bad at. And controlling the distance with your legs and some upper body movement will give you an advantage from NOT being struck. Think Athletism strength and speed! Eyes open. 'Not thinking yet not dreaming ready for whatever may come"b.lee
train smart. move wide when you have to move wide, keep your hands up and imagine getting a KO or imagine doing damage. train combos frequently. daily.

Statistically, you don't see any difference in win percentage until 2 inches, according to Fightnomics, and it increases from there.
