When did you lose hope?

You are just conveniently ducking the point I made about BJ Penn fighting way out of his league and losing. LOL

Argue the facts, brother, not the person. The truth and facts can't be ignored.
I directly addressed it,sir.
I dont have him as the GOAT but hes 4 or 5 on the list. Hes in the discussion of one of the very best in the game.

Don't try a comeback Chuck. Thought you should have hung 'em up even before the (great) Wand fight.

My favorite Fighter is GSP.
Never lost hope, never will.
No reason too.

He's my fav fighter but when he kept messing up the submissions on Condit, or refusing to pass guard,I realized he was just never gonna return to finishing fights. But I didn't ever want him to retire

I am a casual. You win. Now, explain BJ Penn's average career.

Fact 1: He only won 16 of his 30 fights.
Fact 2: He has never won 5 professional fights in a row.
Fact 3: He is on a 5 fight losing streak
Fact 4: He refused to answer the bell in one of his fights.

Go on mister hardcore, give reasonable explanation for his average record. LOL
He was a former welterweight and lightweight champion

In your absolute favorite fighter “losing it.” When did you officially say,”ya know, I just want him to survive this fight then retire.” For me... machida vs Romero :,(

Seeing jds fall off has been U(sad)A

So what? If you are champion without even a 5 fight winning streak on your record, then what value do those titles really hold.

BJ Penn is a classic example of the "UFC promotional tool title" coming into play. UFC fighters can fight for the belt after 3 fights. Muhammad Ali was 19-0 before he won his first title.

BJ Penn doesn't even have 5-0 at any point in his career. Laughable.

But he beat the best of the best, who cares if he has 20 win streak on the regional scene

like others said, Fedor vs Maldonado. Fedor always got hit, too much damage over the years for getting hit in the head by giant humans. Fedor looked like he hadn't train in like 20 years lol just using what he remembered from a long time ago

Reclining Nick Diaz was the very definition of ambivalence; at once funny af, warranted, epic and vintage Diaz whilst at the same time this sinking feeling that it wasn't just a regular piss-take, it was the my-heart's-not-really-in-this-anymore kind of piss-take. Like Nick was mocking himself and mma as much as Anderson.

Also Aldo talking nonsense during and after Conor debacle broke my heart...Holloway 1 and 2 cemented it and I'm only grateful that at least he lost to a supremely worthy successor and classy guy in Holloway.

Around the matt Lindland fight i went, yup its that time. Around the brett rogers fight i went hmm, this is interesting. When he got beat by Bigfoot was the icing on the cake for me.

When Fedor lost to Hendo or had a tough fight with Maldonado. He's done and needs to retire for good. He's done it all and has nothing to prove to these pathetic newbs who know fuck all about MMA.

When BJ Penn came out with that odd ass stance against Edgar in the 3rd fight.

When Shogun got tapped by Chael.

When Vitor came off of TRT.

When Hendo got KO'd by Moose (knew that was gonna happen anyways).

She left when she caught me banging Faith.
