When did wearing multiple watches become a thing?

I don't follow or notice fashion trends but I'm seeing people wearing multiple watches. I haven't worn a watch since I got a cell phone and most people I see don't wear watches. The people that do wear watches seem to be wearing large watches and multiple watches on one or both arms.

I had a college astronomy professor that wore a watch on each hand but one was local time and the other sidereal time. I've seen others that deal with 2 time zones wear 2 watches. Cell phones ended the need for that also.

The only people that I recall seeing with multiple watches on their arms were the guys that sold them on the street but I haven't seen any of those guys in a long time because every convenience store sells them.

It seems like the watches would get beat up hitting against each other.

What else happens in the mental hospital that you reside in?

It's not a thing here and hope it stays that way.

Unmistakable sign that said individual intends to fill absolutely zero rooms with uppercuts. If I tried that style out, which I most certainly won't, there would be watches flying everywhere by night's end.

A lot of pictures of cunts itt.

I got hoes in different area codes

It's been a thing since guys were accessorizing their trenchcoats with fake Rolexes for you to buy.

Do people under 50 wear watches? All the youngsters carry their phones for that.

I agree with @Plutoburn that watch is more of a accessory and status thing nowadays with them easily over 10k ~ 50k. Sort of like branded bags for chicks, except it's more stylish.

I have never wore a watch. Not with my skinny ass wrist.

EDIT:
As for "the trend" OP mentioned, I have never seen them before. If I do, I might actually approach them and ask if they mad?

I've never seen this on anyone, where are you?
