When did the USA lose faith in Obama?

In the beginning the world bought into Obama's "Hope and Change" marketing gimmick and thought he would somehow bring the USA together and solve the world's problems. He was even awarded a Nobel Peace Prize for ummm... for something.

I remember being in a women's studies class in a Canadian university the day Obama was elected and the studens cheered and cried as the women's studies professor announced Obama's victory and then shouted out the Hope and Change mantra.

It seemed Obama was the second coming of Jesus.

Since that time we have seen incredible division in the country. The races and sexes are at war, the universities are fortresses of leftist tyranny. There have been race riots, Islamic terrorist attacks and mass shootings. All Obama can seem to do is repeat the same Okie Doke about Gun Control Talking points and act puzzled about the motives of mass killers. His refusal to condemn Islamic terrorism has made him an international embarassment. Even ISIS is laughing.

My question is this: when did it all go wrong? When did the people of the USA lose faith in Obama and start tuning him out. It is obvious nobody is listening to him anymore and he is merely going through the motions of being a president.

Would things have been different if if if if if if if if if if if if if if Obama did things differently?

My wife said she saw him on Oprah or something before he got popular. She said she got the creeps just hearing and seeing him speak. My wife has a good gut on things like that.

I was reading some Christian news websites while he was running. And in 2008, they were warning us that Obama was anti-American and a very evil man. So I had a feeling he was bad news early on.

I honestly didn't think he'd help be that destructive on race relations. Hussein really stoked the flames on the racial tension.

Your post starts of with a false premise.
Almost half of the US opposed Obama from the start just for team (political and racial) reasons. That was apparent in the immediate explosion of birtherism and McConnel's statements. The other half of the US has found aspects of Obama's performance to be good and other aspects to be less than desired. Currently Obama's approval rating is 51%, not far off his 2008 and 2012 vote captures.

Like I said, the opposition to Obama was there from the start and was largely based on idiotic reasons.

I knew Obama would not be the Superhero that people believed he would be because the reality is that people have to be responsible for their own lives. They cannot expect a President, especially one as incompetent as Hussein Obama, to fix their lives for them.

Obama was like the Golden Calf that everyone worshipped and all it brought them was disaster. There is a reason the bible wisely tells us to avoid worshiping false idols.

I was willing to give him a chance even though I didn't vote for him in 08 (I think I wrote in Ron Paul if he wasn't on the ballot).

I was a little on the fence up until probably around the whole Benghazi narrative ("the video is at fault" shit that was parroted up and down the beltway). I went from "he's an outsider, it'll take awhile" at the beginning to around the beginning of 2013, so about 3 months after the private contractors and Stevens were killed, going "welp, this isn't going to be any different".

So true.

When he traded for a traitor for the release of 5 terrorists.

He's done a fine job and will be remembered well.

Remembered for what? I think as this PC trend dies down in a few years, Obama will not be remembered fondly. Who is even listening to him anymore? The country is moving in it's own direction while Obama pretends to care.

This. And I'll just add the nonpartisan hacks of the country think he's done a great job, actually, and have not lost faith.

Obama has done such a great job that many people are willing to vote for Donald Trump to avoid another 4 years under the democrats.

Much of the legislation that moved forward under and shepherded by Obama will be viewed as positive. His actions early in his first term can already be viewed as resulting in the US emerging from the global financial crisis in far superior shape than other countries. After two terms during which no real action was taken on climate change, important progress has been made (important progress that honestly is a major reason for supporting Clinton). We could go on.

The biggest negative, and it is huge to me, has been his massive expansion of droning.

I have heard many blacks have lost faith in him. I don't remember their reasoning though.

Even Obama girl did, and the guy who painted the hope poster.

Many? Odds are fairly stacked against him (he's at 25% chance to win on some sites) and he's one of the most disliked nominees ever. And who is the favorite to win? The candidate that is running on continuing the progress Obama has made.

You forgot this part:
"We cannot match the sacrifices made by Officers Zamarippa and Ahrens, Krol, Smith and Thompson, but surely we can try to match their sense of service," Obama told the memorial service. "We cannot match their courage, but we can strive to match their devotion."

Obama talks out of both sides of his mouth.
