I wonder how drastic his improvement in that area really was and if he showed signs of attraction to this area of fighting earlier in his career.

reached his true potential on the center aisle....

When he kept teleporting behind Barao like he was a character in Dragonball Z.

When Joe B. was tagging him repeatedly in the face and he just kept yelling "Come on!! Come on!! Come on!"

Look at his fights with Assuncao and Easton. There's a huge jump in skill and understanding of what he's doing in the cage.

I really noticed his improved striking in the Mike Easton fight. After that fight, I knew he had the tools to defeat Barao.

Agree that I was impressed in the Easton fight. Apparently he has improved his striking and movement. He kept tagging him and taking him down, and Easton used to bully guys with his size and is explosive, surprised how TJ made him look bad in that fight

Hugo Viana was probably the first time i thought he could be a top 5 fighter someday.

This, he proved he could take a shot in that fight, didn't back down one bit and finished Hugo before the end of the round.

Like a minute into his fight with Barao, Rogan was already saying it was easily the best he's ever looked and I immediately thought he must not have paid very close attention to the Easton fight then because that was a clinic from bell to bell.

Same here..

I was blown away in his fight with Easton, and the angles he was using and varied strikes. I watched the fight again before Barao's fight and had a feeling he'd have a tough outing.
