When did Anderson Silvas prime end?

Between the second fight with Shale and the Bonnar fight he was talking about retirement. His age lines up with the typical male prime. He was 36-38 when he started thinking and talking about retirement.

Fucker should've hung em up then.

Chris beat a prime Silva fair and square.

Anderson looked like a God in the Sonnen 2 and Bonnar fights. The Bonnar fight was when he stood with his hands down against the fence and let Bonnar try to hit him. That was 9 months before the Weidman 1 fight.

The sequence at 1:10 of this video is probably the most disregard for an opponent anyone has ever shown in modern MMA.

the first chael fight imo. he looked good for a few fights after that (including the rematch), but that was the first time i noticed any sort of physical decline from previous outings. and yeah chael was juicing, but still anderson looked slower and weaker than he had in the past. not a good sign for a fighter who relied on speed, timing, and reflexes.

Yep Canderoid fans are coping.

Andersons Prime For sure was done in by 2017. By the end of 2016 he lost to Bisping badly despite getting that free cheap shot on Bisping and DC wrecked him.

Also in January of 2015 Anderson fought Diaz and looked super human as well but then failed the drug test for steroids. 2015 onward and under USADA Anderson declined rapidly he also turned 40 in 2015 but it seemed no issue in the Diaz fight.

Andy was juicing too lol. Andy was as fast as ever in the Bonnar fight

Andy still hasn’t retired so he was likely talking about retirement to pressure the ufc to pay him more. Or he knew he was gonna lose to Weidman

Honestly as a fan of Anderson, I say post Weidman 2/leg break marks the end of his prime. He was on a massive win streak and had just dispatched a juiced Boner with ease and he never looked as fast, agile or fluid as he did prior as the injury definitely hindered his in cage mobility. USADA also took it's toll as well.
