When I watch any fight (boxing, thai boxing, mma), what I enjoy most is seeing how each fighter uses their own fighting style, with all the strengths and weakness that goes with it, against another fighting style. In essence I enjoy watching the battle of fighting styles. By 'style' I don't mean discipline (e.g. muay thai). I mean the fighters own preferred method of fighting. For example, Kenny Florian has a counter-striking style so when his opponent is aggressive then he does very well against him but when he faces a defencive fighter where Kenny has limited opportunity to counter (like against BJ Penn) then he looks very ordinary.

So what I would like to know is what is your own personal fighting style and why do you prefer that way of fighting? Are you primarily a kicking out-fighter? Are you are stalking in-fighter? Do you prefer to control your opponent before hit them? etc

Since I am asking you to do this, I will go first as an example. I am primarily a stalking counter-fighting punching thai boxer. I have always liked punishing my opponents when they attack me (e.g. catching kicks, letting tem hit my elbows) and then hitting them before they could recover completely. I stalk my opponent to force them to attack me and to psychologically pressure my opponent. Whilst, I use all muay thai techniques, I prefer punching so the majority of my combos key off punches of lead into punches well. I have often been described as a 'natural puncher' so I guess it comes more naturally to me but I also like it that I can attack without sacrificing any balance like I would with kicks.

stalking counter-fighting punching thai boxer. That should be your ring name.

I enjoy doing several backflips before dropping my trousers to beat my opponent into submission with my massive penis.

First I am introduced by the Yobidashi.

Then I like to make my entrance to the ring with massive pyrotechnics and flaming dragons whilst Nobuhiko Takada sounds an enormous gong. Obviously he is wearing nothing but a thong whilst doing so.

Once the action starts I immediately commence a symphony of flailing limbs set to a cacaphonous medley of shrieks and screams.

When this (inevitably) fails I fall to the ground, assume the foetal position and begin sobbing violently and uncontrollably. Obviously I wet myself with fear from the thought of being hit by someone.

At this point both my opponent and the audience are bewildered at the pathetic sight of me trembling on the ground in my own urine, and leave me unharmed.

This striking combination of Pride style theatrics and typical Sherdog member fighting skill can not be described by name. It has to be seen to be believed.

I have often been described as a 'natural puncher'

*goes on jeopardy*

Host Alex Trebek: I have been described as a 'natural puncher'

*buzzer sounds*

Contestant Denno: What is talking yourself up?

Host Alex Trebek: Correct!

Contestant Denno: I'll take "Sherdog Culture" for $500 Alex.

Sorry mate, I'm done trolling now. Good thread. :icon_lol:

Depends what rule set I'm fighting at. If it's Muay Thai, I like stalking my opponent and waiting for an opportunity to clinch while utilizing body kicks. If its boxing, I tend to brawl because frankly it's more fun that way.

Thanks Marvin for giving an honest answer to an honest question.

I only trained for a about 2years and for obvious reasons don't get into fights but I always tried the peek-a-boo style since I have a long reach but short arms. lol And I was a huge Tyson fan of course.

It's kinda hard to stick to the outside when you get beat to the jab. You gotta move in and try to slip on the way in when you have all that momentum to counter.

It's insanely difficult to pull off but brutal when executed. Plus I love throwing sharp hooks and uppercuts. I didn't get into the grappling as much as I practiced sprawling and underhook throws.

But that stuff is tough and I am just too lazy at the end of the day to go through it all. Besides watching it so much more fun. You are never on the wrong end of a KO. lol

I can talk almost as fast as Dana White...

My style is UFC 34 mixed with UFC 97 without the Main Event. No Butt Scootin boogie for me

Black Shorts with Red Stripes and fringe. All Black Nike Boxing Shoes with Red Laces.

I'm a 'boxer'. I like to stay outside of range and hit and move as much as I can.
I also like baiting opponents to throw big shots, countering and moving.

pressure, pressure, more pressure... with a touch of controlled chaos
