So I'm taking a survey of american music class this winter semester and have been listening to all kinds of music so far (only up to the early 50s so far). Yesterday as I was watching the latest American Horror Story episode, I heard a piano piece that was familiar but drove me crazy to find out who actually wrote it. I was suprised to find out it was from Candyman and Philip Glass wrote it since I loved it but never really gave much thought into it. What about you guys? Whats your favorite piano pieces? Below are a few of mine.

and of course

Always liked this one. This is a good rendition of it too.

Great post TDA. That shit was so melancholy at the end of the Hulk tv series.

Brian Eno's "Thursday Afternoon".

For a more downbeat album, "Music for Airports".

Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven

Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini variation #18 by Rachmaninoff

Not sure if its my favorite, but I came across this not long ago and thought it was neat.

I've often wondered what it was like growing up in that family. So many creative geniuses, either be the greatest experience or go batshit crazy. I can honestly see it going either way.

I like how you put that.
They were a very talented bunch.
I started watching their films as a kid, loved them. Even did a little research paper on them back in the days of school.
