Since there appear to be so many of you internet tough guys posturing in the other thread trying to belittle people who don't compete in grappling tournaments and MMA fights I thought all of you should provide your excuses for why YOU don't step up & do ULTIMATE BADMITTON-X!!????

    What are you afraid of?

Losing like the loser you are?

Taking a racket I broke over my knee through your eye like a javelin as my birdie lands in the pool of blood by your feet?!!?

    EXTREME Humiliation?

Lack of the skill needed (IOW not well rounded enough to survive real world badminton battles)?

I find it ludicrous that some of you want to try and act superior to people who don't enter grappling tournaments and mma fights when you lack the courage to step up to the next level and do the ultimate form of competition in ULTIMATE BADMINTON-X.

So, what are YOUR excuses?

Umm, the MMA fights thread was supposed to be a parody of the grappling competition thread. Some people in that thread were acting like if you train bjj but don't compete then there's something inherently wrong with that. So the other thread was spinning off that and taking it to the next logical step: is everyone who trains but doesn't fight MMA a pussy too? Of course not. Thus showing how stupid the premise for the first thread was.

    Exactly.
Unfortunately sarcasm is sometimes lost on the internet since facial expressions & voice inflection aren't part of the equation.
I attempted to imply that with the eye rolling smilie but I guess that didn't work for everyone.

However, ULTIMATE BADMITTON_X is for little girls....

Now if you want to play CROQUET-MAGGEDON.... well bring it.:icon_evil

What's your excuse for making threads about excuses?

    Inquiring minds need to know.

Mikey loves these types of parody threads... awesome.

Badminton is crazy shit actually. I mean, it could be really dangerous so I'd understand people being scared. I mean, those guys don't wear facemasks and the cock is coming towards them at a very high rate of speed, right? ...right?

    ...it got weird.

Yeah but the people who train grappling, don't necessarily train MMA.

I know, but the point is the same. Someone made a thread chastising bjj practitioners who don't compete. People were calling non-competitors whimps and what not. Which of course is silly, because you can train for whatever reason you want: recreation, self defense, sport competition, MMA, whatever. And just because you don't do one of those things doesn't mean anything negative about you.

That was the point of the second thread. Most people who train bjj don't compete in MMA. So can someone who fights MMA call you a whimp because you choose not to test yourself in those waters? No, of course not, that's stupid. You can do what you want with your training, and train with your own goals in mind. I think that was the purpose of the MMA-related thread.

Overall point: train for whatever reason and with whatever goals you like.

I hope this turns into a running joke at training.

    "Hey bro what's up?"
"What's your EXCUSE for not stepping up???"
"Huh? I have a family dude. I just do this for fun."
"Just keep telling yourself that pussy."
