Djokovic just gave up being 2 sets down too Wawrinka. 6th time he has gave up at a najor.

Id say retiring in tennis is worse because you aren't getting assaulted.

What you say sherbros?

TS clearly has never trained, or played tennis.

likely a troll but there are many ppl actually believing in this thing.
Getting hit in the head doesn't make your head harder it makes you easier to get KOed next time. This wasn't known before but it is nowadays.
Getting injured and playing with the injury will make it worse.
In both cases the athlete loses but get a serious career threatening issue on top of it.

The smart thing is retire/tap to strikes early.
In that regards I feel that a fighter like Conor is doing the right thing: when you see that you have no hopes to win you give your neck and live to fight another day.
Early in his career he kept fighting with the broken leg vs Holloway and got a 2 year injury for it.

Is there a stigma about retiring in tennis?

Who the fuck from this forum actually watches tennis????

That's just embarrassing.

Tennis is a sport of blood & honor!

IDK, probably making double threads.

2 x 0 = 0

Djoko may have his racket, but GSP has the TD timing, so Djoko misses and GSP takes him down, then G'N'P him for the easy win.

Both are somehow quitting, but I can cope around tapping to strikes when you're done being fu**ed, tennis on the other hand worst thing can happen is a ball hitting your face.

That begs the question: Tapping in wrestling, where damage is never really inflicted: Is it equivalent to tennis?

quitting in tennis - or any sport other than mma - is worse imo

In mma if you tap to strikes at least the winner still has 100% satisfaction of having beat you. Quitting in tennis robs your opponent of that.
It's a sore loser control thing. "He didn't win I quit." Disrespectful shit

Tennis is aggressive son. Turn those Achilles over while your knees twist every which way. Leg injuries are for realz
