Both seem like terrible one-sided matchups. Honorable mention has to be Eddie Alvarez vs RDA.
All four fighters are on a very high level. Lets not pretend that either Rockhold or Cruz could just walk in without a camp and beat Bisping or Faber. I realize that the defending champs are the favorite but I am down to see both.
I completely agree. Actually I am currently in an argument with someone in a different thread who says Bisping was hopeless and looked like a child. Why do people keep saying bisping vs rockhold was one sided? Did you even watch the fight? Bisping was doing just fine until the last 20 seconds
Hmm Bendo had good wrestling but I get your point. I'll give this some thought.Faber and Cruz are 1-1 and Faber sat Cruz on his ass a couple of times in their last fight. Bisping has never had anything for Luke and he never will.
And you might be sleeping on Eddie/RDA.
For almost his entire career RDA has eaten striker/jitz guys like Cowboy, Pettis, Bendo, Nate etc for breakfast. In the last decade RDA's never lost to a guy from a striking base, so there's nothing new in RDAtown with this streak he's on lately, as they've feed him striker/jitz guy after striker/jitz guy.
But also throughout his entire career the guys who have been able to give RDA trouble have been opponents from a wrestling base. Like Eddie Alvarez. Even if they choose to strike with RDA, their wrestling helps them counter RDA's wrestling/grappling, top control position and pace.
Rockhold's main counter punch and disgusting common is a right check. BUT he doesn't throw it like that and doesn't lose his balance like that.Keep counting the count out
HOW? HOW?!I like both fights.
He doesn't deserve it and he has gotten older, but their fights were fun and competitive. I think this one will too, esp considering Cruz's problems with his legs.HOW? HOW?!
Faber seems washed out and lets be honest about how he got this title shot.
Bisping was doing what he always does, clever movement, picking his shots and winning rounds. And yeah, he's been caught 3 times in his 35 fight career... By 2 of the most devastating strikers in MMA history, and Luke. Sounds like good odds to me. Can't imagine Bisping winning this fight, but you never know. Anyone that doesn't come in 100% against Bisping will likely lose.I completely agree. Actually I am currently in an argument with someone in a different thread who says Bisping was hopeless and looked like a child.
He arguably won that first round and definetly did just fine.
My point is not that the first fight was so one-sided but that the rematch seems doomed to be.
