Not sure if I missed any action but it sounds like Nick did not have too much trash talk for Anderson. It's hard for me to believe that fight will take place in less than two weeks.

Maybe Nick matured a bit during his time off and that he is now more like Jake Shields, more focused on the sport and less on the drama.

Maybe it's just respect as well. Diaz knows that Andy is a bigger name than him in the MMA food chain and that trying to "get under his skin" could turn plenty of folks of.

Can't wait to see what "Old Man Andy" still has to show us.

It's a great fight for Andy as Diaz is smaller and does not represent much of a threat on the ground as Andy is himself no slouch in BJJ. What's left will be a standing battle. Since Nick is all boxing no kicks (to speak of), that means that Andy should have plenty of opportunity to test his "new leg."

Diaz said that Condit had "baby kicks", can't wait to see what his conclusions will be when Andy tests his leg on him.

Any thoughts on Diaz calmer attitude?

Didn't he do the same thing leading up to Daley?
To me it seems more that he is focused on the match because he already knows that this fight will most likely sell well.
I think that all the antics will start on fight week or in the cage.

He likes and respects Anderson. Build-up definitely suffered as a result.

Nick doesn't promote shit. Doesn't even show up sometimes.

He doesn't have any problems with anderson. It's just a fight, no beef involved.

I remember there was an interview with him saying something along the lines of "I'm gonna win because Anderson Silva is not the fighter he used to be".

Nuff said

He's not an animal. lol. He hasn't had any verbal altercations with 90% of the people he's fought.

This. He's said it several times in the past before the match up was ever announced.

How do you trash talk Anderson? HEY GREAT RUN AT MW!.. Shit.

Pretty much this I think, if there's any trash talk or anything even remotely heated, it will be at the weigh in, doubt it will beforehand.

nick diaz said "its normal" in a recent interview! He is a fan of anderson. At the very least he "hespects" the spider so no trash. he even bowed @ the recent staredown lol

I love Anderson and I wouldn't want to see him get hurt but I would laugh my ass off if the first move of the fight is a kick and it snaps his leg like a twig again :icon_lol:

Yeah yeah I'm sorry

This. Their face-off after "time is now" press conference shows that quite well.

However, I expect a lot of showmanship from both during weigh ins, pre-fight face off and the fight itself.

Pretty sure Nick has only shit talked GSP pre fight in recent memory.

He's more of a post-loss talking specialist.

This interview happened less than a week ago.

Wow, I've never seen Nick Diaz this INspoken, shy, not even saying hes gonna win the fight, and timid. If he carries this type of confidence into the ring, hes gonna get demolished in 1 minute at max

Fight doesn't need any trash talk to be more intriguing than it already is. The clip they took from the extended preview video on YouTube and put on the McGregor broadcast with Rogan talking about how much trash Nick talks was cringeworthy.

He has respect for Anderson and realizes the dangers. Is probably spending more time in the gym.

Nick has never really went in public trashing his opponent in interviews or whatever. They kind of forced it with GSP making him do all the interviews and putting them together so much

I don't think there was 1 bit of trash talk leading into the Daley fight
