I've just seen that again, while checking out linkedin updates while Im pretending to work at work.
So UBS CEO, mr. Hamers , said , that era of higher inflation is here to stay.
Someone shared that 'news' and I see people started to like that post .
This can be also seen here at sherdog.
Would be cool if we had some psychologist sherbro to write few words about that.

Here is the info if you like it : )

What’s even more disturbing to think about is why many social media don’t have a dislike button.

“The Genius of the Crowd” by Charles Bukowski pretty much sums up why not.

I remember when the YouTube thumbs up/down was new, and someone posted a video of some attack. I don't remember exactly but it was like an innocent person being attacked.

All these idiots started clicking the thumbs down, because they thought they were signifying their disapproval of innocent people being attacked.

The person who posted the video had to come back and beg people to stop doing it because it would cause YouTube to remove the video.

He was like, "I'm just sharing my footage so you have the full story! Stop giving me the thumbs down!"

Some people need to feel outraged every day so they doomscroll and argue in social media comment sections to get their fix

I don't think we necessarily like bad news, but we've become desensitized to bad news because we're swimming in it day and night. For example, I woke up this morning and looked at my phone and the first thing I see is "Death toll rises to 40 as Russia bombs Ukrainian complex". I get updates like that on my phone on a daily basis. The shock and awe factor of tragedy has been diminished by having the internet in our pockets.

Sometimes I have to remind myself to take a break from social media and the news because I know it's feeding me a warped view of reality. No matter how many fucked up things you see on Facebook or YouTube or any other platform, it's important to remind yourself that the world is nowhere near as bad as it looks online.

I think Al Gorithm makes things more visible if people like them and disliking them can causes Al to sweep it under the rug
