convincing shertards you won the fight
To come up on top in total strikes in fightmetric. bendo is a pointfighter?
A lot of different reasons
level change. good way to execute or fake a td. still though. benson's use of them did not seem that effective or well utilized.
Keep the opponent thinking perhaps, i can't imagine it doing much damage.
Unless it's Bendo, then it's probably for points.
It's meant to be a distraction, nothing else. Get the opponent to drop his guard and attention down. Pretty weird move. lol
guys try out new things when they're sparing
To open stuff up. See reactions and keep opponent guessing. Duh.
Seems more of a psychological move than anything.
I like it.
Although it looks like it leaves him open for a counter. High risk/low reward if it's punished IMO.
yeah in that gif he looks like he's wide open to be hit in the face.
Good question. Why to throw there?
Then again what's the point in foot stump and shoulder shrug
To show off
land strikes without engaging - mix up attacks, etc.
Looks like a great way to get kneed in the face.
I think it's all about scoring points without really engaging. Same goes for those kicks to the thigh. Very low risk and you can pump up your total strikes landed really quickly. I appreciate that he wasn't throw them at the knees but I don't think those shots to the quads were hurting at all.
To win points.
Didn't he catch Diaz with a big overhand after he threw a thigh jab?
One more on the leg strikes count.
