I honestly think the fight will happen with Aspinall and Jones.

It will be official by June. : - )

why is only "fights tom to unify the belts" the only option? Where is "jon fights tom to get sent to the darkest depths of the shadow realm?"

This isn't Mortal Kombat, there are rules. If there weren't any rules, Josh barnett would have been exploding everybodys heads with his hokuto shinken.

I usually don't say this, but I have no idea.

My gut feeling is telling me Jon vs Tom is happening in Nov.

I feel like Jon constantly expressing how he's "living his best life" and how content and happy and fulfilled he has become is just him laying the groundwork for him to say that he doesn't need fighting anymore. I really think if the UFC doesn't meet his number he'll retire. Walking away "on his terms" is better than fighting and (maybe) losing

Im 70/30

70% chance Dana and co. get a deal inked this summer. Jon is loving dragging this out and does not care about our feelings one bit

30% chance he never gets the deal he wants, and continues the honey-dicking until they threaten the stripping, at which he would rather retire as the HW champ and relinquish it under his terms and not theirs

I stopped caring, and am enjoying these other divisions for while, it’ll pan out

1. Jon signs the fight with Tom
2. Jon gets "injured" in training
3. Jon retires

He gets caught with drugs in Thialand n gets sent to one of thier prisons this ending all Jon Jones fight news.
Would be admittedly really funny if Asia took care of Johnny Somali, Vitaly, and Jon Jones all within a matter of weeks for us. Trade deals truly working.

Jon's gonna get stripped of the belt for the 4th time, beating his own record. There's really no other option as he will not fight Tom and his ego won't let him retire and become irrelevant. It will hopefully happen sooner rather than later.

Seeing as he's the last marquee name the UFC has, I reckon he's being used as a poker chip in negotiations for a new broadcasting deal.
Yup, They leveraged Conor to get the ESPN deal, now they gotta run Jones into the ground to get that sweet Telemundo money.

Jones will likely vacate. The only question is whether he'll fight someone else. I still think there's a decent chance he fights Alex next (without a belt on the line).

Jon vacates and retires. I believe there's a 30% chance he fights.
