What is the most important virtue or character trait a person could have in your opinion and why? It could be honesty, loyalty, perseverance, kindness, boldness, etc or some other virtue most people don't talk about.

For me, I think the ability to be honest with one self is the most important trait a person can have. Especially in a romantic partner. I don't think I can date a women who doesn't have an ounce of self-awareness or the ability to peer introspectively into herself. For me, it certainly makes me happier since I can catch myself being angered or bothered by things and instead of letting that negative emotion control me, I try to figure out why something bothers me if it does. I used to carry a lot of anger and resentment with me, but I am better at letting it go now.

What traits to you find important and think people should have more of? For your partner? For yourself?

Honesty. Tell the truth at all cost.

Loyalty, not being some kind of rat/snitch

Honesty. Tell the truth at all cost.

I think honesty is important, especially in interpersonal relationships, but I don't think being 100% honest all the time is realistic. It would be ideal to have people who are completely honest, but I think society is built on lies so in some cases being honest wouldn't be beneficial. I wouldn't judge somebody for saying a little white lie about how good his wife looks in her dress even if he didn't really think so. I'm not the most patriotic guy in the world, but when I didn't advertise that fact when I was in the Army.

Loyalty, not being some kind of rat/snitch

What if your loyalty means going against your morals? For example, would loyalty trump morality to the point you wouldn't rat your father out even if he committed a heinous crime?

Humbleness.

Because when you are the opposite of that, Prideful, that's when you get into all sorts of trouble. If you are humble, you can have all the other virtues.

Wisdom, in the wider sense of knowing how to pursue a good life (including identifying and cultivating the other virtues).

Knew this would be a subtle dating thread ;)

Honesty and Truth - the key to life.

Bit off topic, but people question why musical artists would belong to the "Illuminati" or at least the Dark Brotherhood - the reason the "Illuminati" would recruit musical artists and introduce them to the dark arts is for manipulation. Music generates waves and vibrations that directly effect the human conscious.

With musical artists they are able to subconscious warp minds by repetitive lyrics and distorted messages.

So yes, pugilistic - Honesty and Truth. -- even when many around you may hate it.

P.S: Did a women you were seeing lie to you and it burned you bad?

Lol. Maybe keep working on those.

Honesty, it's the way to self-improvement and thus other virtues.

depends on what you want to accomplish in life, and if you know what you want to accomplish you will probably develop that quality by yourself
