Yamamoto "withdrew" from his upcoming fight a week or so ago. I haven't seen an update as to why. He would have gone over a year and a half between fights. Now, it'll likely be over two years. Has there been any talk on him lately? Why was he laid off so long? Both Ross Person and Myles Jury called out Gomi since his last fight. Both got inked to fight different opponents. By the time he gets any fight booked, it'll likely be close to a year layoff. He won 2 of his last 3, and his last fight was a split decision. I know they're not contenders (especially Kid,) but I still like following the careers of guys I watched back when I was getting more into MMA. And with these guys nearing the ends of their careers, one to two year layoffs could practically be career ending.
