U2 were only good in the 80s. With that said. Streets have no name is the only track by them that gets regular play by me. Classic. There best written song and the intro is one of the best intros of all time.

Definitely one of the greatest intros. Although you actually believe it's their best written song? How about One, I Still Haven't Found what I'm Looking for, Running to Stand Still, So Cruel?

Those are very well written songs imo.

I listened to No Line on the Horizon and pretty much all the songs stunk.

I like the albums War and Joshua Tree.

This is a really cool tune.

Generally I tend to listen to Achtung Baby more than anything else by them, Talk Talk's Spirit of Eden takes the place of The Joshua treet nicely with more depth and invention to it.

Wtf? This video had been on YouTube for over 6 years. A few weeks after I post it here it gets taken down on copyright grounds.

Which one of you homos ratted it out?

As far as emotional power, this is the one that used to wreck me back in the day. In my youth. In the days of faith and innocence. When I believed with all my heart that there was a God. And that He was love.

In 1992, Axl Rose told RIP magazine: "I think their song 'One' is one of the greatest songs ever written. Now I can see and understand why people were into U2 years ago".

Axl Rose called it “one of the greatest songs that’s ever been written,” adding that, when he first heard it, “I just broke down crying.”
