It seems a lot of times when someone is about to fight USADA likes to announce that someone popped hot but it was such months ago. They then retroactively suspend them and they fight as if it never happened. Why not just let that shit go then or is USADA flexing?
"so and so was juiced to the gills 6months ago. He is fighting 6 months later so we retroactively suspended them for 6 months and they are fighting post the time given"
of course there is super shady shit going on with the juicing and the way usada goes about things....but their timelines are usually correct?? Im not sure the exact question youre going for here.... if someone is busted, suspended for 12 months, they announce it 6 months from the time he popped, then he serves 6 months and can fight if someone is busted, suspended for 6 months((due to leniency)) they announce it 6months from the time he popped, then hes good to fight ..... whats the issue?
Not sure why they just don't let them all roid. They wouldn't have to pay for USADA and the fights would be better.
Diego for instance got suspended for 3 months which is a time frame not usually given and he happened to be lined up to fight right after the retroactive suspension. Is this Novinski?
The moment a fighter tests positive he is no longer able to fight, in effect his punishment has already started. At some later date the fighter finally accepts his guilt and receives a sanction but he's already served part or all of the time by being unable to fight. Do you guys want him to be punished twice for the same offence,, seems a little unfair?
The entire process should be filmed and part of the ESPN+ package. You get to follow the pee from hand off to vile to results.
yeah, youre right what they did there is entirely shady ((though thats the first case Ive seen where they have done that, to my knowledge)) not only did they gave him a short sentence for tainted supplements, they started the suspension from when he was suppose to have been tainted by the supplement and not when he tested positive ...... which is blatantly circumnavigating things
As said, "time served". Also, it is on the fighter's record should they pop again. Even if it was retroactive over a period they wouldn't have been fighting, anyway, it is grounds for a harsher penalty if it happens again.
