Folks,

What competition GIs have you tried and liked? I am looking for something *light* that will *definitely* comply with IBJJF requirements.

Thanks in advance!

check out Kingz line of gi's. priced good, excellent quality.

I'm a fan of the Grips Secret Weapon 2.0, but that's because I'm kinda lanky with broad shoulders and have long arms and legs (ideal cut for my build).

In the spirit of shameless plugs, we have an inexpensive gi that meets the requirements for the IBJJF.

We had just posted recently on the F16, but to save you a click, it's a 450 GSM pearl weave jacket that comes with 2 pairs of pants in cotton drill and ripstop. We're offering it at 139.99 with free shipping (flat $10 to Alaska, Hawaii, and US Territories), and we're offering sherdog users a 10% discount with coupon code "sherdog"

You can find us at http://www.acimafightcompany.com

Good luck in your search!

people can say whatever they want, but it's really what gi fits you the best. i own a gi company but id rather see somebody is a great gi they love that makes them enjoy BJJ more than just pushing my own wares.

What's your height and weight?

I agree with the Kingz vote. They have a lot of different light weight gis. Kingz also makes a lot of different sizes to fit various body types. I own a couple and really like them. In fact I am considering getting a third gi by them.

Moya Brand has some nice GI's and they are very comfortable. They however are a bit heavy, but most of them are ibjjf legal and look badass.

Progress Ji Jitsu M6 is a pretty light gi

Fushida COMPRS. Most comfortable GI I own and a ridiculous collar on it for a pearl weave.

Close second Kingz Comp 450 v3. Very comfy and good fit, only complaint right now is that the collar turned to mush kind of quick on this thing.

Ive got a few gis and prefer my killer bee ligustica over the others. It has a nice collarand is like a cheese grater on the outside. Its a little on the hot side though at 550 gsm I beliebe.
