What's stopping you from becoming a UFC fighter

Money.

I mean it’s tough to get into the UFC.

And even then you don’t make much til you are well known.

If I was given 10k right off the bat to fight another man without having to fight my way into a promotion I’d be a lot more likely to do it.
 
Brain damage and health complications. Also, you don't get paid nearly enough to risk it for that reason.
 
An $140,000 per year salary that doesn't involve me getting punched in the head...
 
I applied before once and sent a few emails, I never got a call back. I can only assume it's because they were scared ... I've moved on since then though

Being 30, weighing as much as HW but natural weight class is probably Welterweight or Lightweight, having never trained any MMA aside from Karate as a kid and a month of Muy Thai
 
I wanted to make a decent salary in my first year out of college instead of struggling to pay rent.
 
A few nagging injuries and a lack of desire to basically live in the gym again.
