Social What's something most people won't realize will kill you in seconds?

madness, it's like they are just as cocky though, riding down the middle of the lane, past a traffic jam. I ain't mad at 'em, but struck by the irony of how not only motorcyclists but also pedestrians and bicyclists seem to overcompensate for their lack of protection by doing the opposite of what they should do. I don't get it.
Originally, they argued that since motorcycles are air-cooled, they can't sit still in traffic for too long or their bike will overheat.

Many bikes have radiators now but not all.

Still they're supposed to go slow when splitting though. I see some idiots doing it way too fast.

Asphyxiation from hydrogen sulfide in underground or enclosed spaces. I saw a video of a dude climb down a vat in a sewage processing plant and as soon as he got a few rungs down the ladder he passed out and fell in to the sludge.

There are countless stories of sewer and utility workers dying from it. Shit is no joke.

Can't remember what gas it was, may have been hydrogen sulfide, but I remember some guys bitching years ago about an OSHA regulation saying they needed to air out a truck full of broccoli for a certain amount of time before unloading. The regulation existed because some dude walked into a truck full of broccoli, the stuff in the back was rotting and releasing gas, and homeboy dropped dead in seconds of inhaling it in the enclosed space.

Can also happen with rotten potatoes in cellars. Turns into a deathtrap where another person goes down to help the first, and they drop to the floor too.

You missed the point. Don't become an addict in the first place. <seedat>
You are so stupid dude.... people are prescribed medicine they dont know is going to hook them and become addicted because of their personality or predisposition/prediliction to addictions.

“because of their personality or predisposition/prediliction to addictions.” Thats a pussified way of saying weak minded. I’ve taken prescribed pain medicine for 10 years. For 10 fucking years I’ve managed to not get addicted to the same pills people get hooked on within weeks. I’m nothing special, I’m just not an idiot.

That was going to be my post, only a small handful of people have ever survived that didn’t receive the vaccine post bite.
I didn't even know there are people who survive without the vaccine. I assumed death is 100% certain.

Good thing that everyone in the world is exactly like you right down to their brain chemistry, experiences and situations

Driving is definitely the one big thing. People drive around like they aren't moving at speeds in heavy metal objects that can instantly kill people. Probably the most dangerous activity modern humans do on a daily basis. Yet a lot of people drive like they're invincible.

Problem is most people think they are better at it than they actually are.

In fact I say the worst drivers are the ones that think they are the shit, for example the ones that cut lanes left and right to get ahead trought traffic, are always going too fast and don't stop at street signs. Newbies usually go slow, so its usually easier to predict movements or avoid them.

I truly believe he did that on purpose at least sub-consciously. To whatever extent his design was safe it would eventually fail if it wasn't replaced and the fucker had no plans to replace it. It feels like the whole industry knew that was going to happen.

SUB-consciously ! ! ! :)

Here's some more...

Have known smart AF people that got addicted by just trying to stop un-stoppable pain. :(

It's not a "choice" for some, consider yourself fortunate that your pain wasn't worse.

I don't know anything about Motorcycles, I wouldn't ever get on one to begin with.

Ya, it certainly happens. That's a helluva choice, excruciating pain or addiction.

pretty much, people think they are better than they are and that laws don't apply to them.

Been SO Ignant forever with speeds that would Terrify any normal person (300 km/hr) plus, but have Never Once "split lanes". I like living too much !

Taking off on my Honda CBR 900 RR from a dead stop to 100 mph happens in seconds... on the back wheel only! :)

In recent memory 20+ years (could be more) a young girl was the first to survive. The only way to do it is to put the patient in a medically induced coma, that way they can control body temps and other aspects. Still only a handful of people have ever survived even with this method.

I see. In my head I was picturing some genetically special people who don't get affected by the virus. That makes more sense. I guess use that method as a last ditch resort when vaccines aren't available?

In the first month of my disk herniation, I was popping opioids like candy because of the pain. I weened myself off of them now and I'm lucky I didn't get addicted but I could see why people do get addicted.

Being busy on your phone while crossing traffic is one. Being choked is another.
I watched a girl with headphones on and staring at her phone walk in front of a motorbike and a car the other day, one in each lane of a 2 lane road.

They slammed on the brakes in sequence as she crossed and she never noticed.
