First up is obvious, Patricio Freire vs Georgi Karakhanyan II, I was a little surprised Georgi got the next shot, considering Curran-Weichel is next month. But oh well, this should still be a fun fight.

Vrgil Zwicker vs Mikhail Zayats, These havent fought yet and Zayats needs a win.

Fernando Gonzales vs Michael Page, Some how Gonzales is 3-0 in Bellator, and if Page wins i would say match these two up.

Georgi is the best fighter outside the UFC behind Askren so why wouldn't he get a shot?

Yesterday I was thinking in the same matchup
    Gonzales vs Page

That could bring it the next in line (Koreshkov is the next contender IMO)

Straus/FG, I like that matchup, makes sense.
Bubba vs whoever, build him back up.

I care enough about Fernando Gonzalez now. He's beaten Zaromskis, Parisyan, and Amoussou in 3 straight. But he's noticeably undersized for a lw. I like Melvin's suggestion of David Rickels. That would be a fun fight to put together, and Bellator could go from there.

Anderson and Kozola also made me care from the prelims. Kozola is a talented young kickboxer, and Anderson in general as a mixed martial artist at this point. Anderson-Campos and Kozola-Villaseca would work.

Zwicker-Zayats was also a fine suggestion by the boys. Put action fighters with action fighters, instead of guys trying to stall the action like Alexander.

Gonzalez ain't a bad fighter, his boxing is pretty slick and he's tough. Maybe match him up with McDonough

Yeah, I'd like to see McDonough drop down too, so they could do that at lw, and that would be an interesting match. A lot of fighters have impetuses to drop down with the tourney format dissolved.

Refresh potential contenders w/ and down with:

    185: Zayats, Mo?, Newton?

    170: Parlo

    155: McDonough, Gonzalez

    145: Chandler

    135: Pitbull

Size for those guys have been an issue before, even though they've had plenty of success in their current divisions.

Oddly, the guys so far contemplating moving down, are guys who should stay or move up if anything like Page and Caldwell.

Forgot about Gonzalez but no interest in seeing Zwicker fight again.
