After his impressive and easy win against Paul Felder, i think lightweight division is his optimal weight !
He can have a last run, next fight against Dan Hooker or Diego Ferreira ?

someone on a W streak like CDF or Oliveira. Maybe Islam will eventually fight someone soon?

RDA beating Felder in a 5 rounder makes him a worthy gatekeeper for the LW top 5.

Hooker would be good. Hooker, then 1 more top contender, then title fight. But, if he wins in an impressive fashion his next fight - against one of the best top 5 contenders, of course -, maybe they will give him a title shot. Would be more than deserved.

Since he just beat the 7th ranked LW and is a former LW champion I think he would have to fight a top 5 LW next.

Definitely trolling, RDA had to hold on to him for dear life. Can't blame him for not wanting to strike with Paul though, path of least resistance and what not.

At Welterweight, he was a top 7-10 gatekeeper ! Now, maybe hen ca, be a top 5 gatekeeper or had a last run for the title shot !

Lmao, one win against a guy who catered to his style and didn't train even train for him and suddenly RDA should be fast tracked to top 5 ? Fight makhachev as it was planned, and then we'll see.

Islam doesn't fight, end of the line. He doesn't deserve shit, he needs to fight another top 10 and make his way back again. We need fighters that actually... FIGHT. Islam didn't prove shit, he is a complete nobody in the scene and that's his own fault.

Yes. Because that's how it works. He beat a guy higher ranked than Islam, and who is higher ranked for very good reasons. He also holds a victory over Kevin Lee who is ALSO higher ranked than Islam.
Islam was a good test of RDA's lightweight return. Now, he's already returned. It's not a test anymore, it's a run.

    Do Bronx or higher.

Felder was ranked 7th. What you are saying makes no sense at all. Someone who is a former champion in the division and just beat the 7th ranked guy shouldn't fight Makhachev who's maybe top 10.

The reason Do Bronx's streak launched him to the top is cuz he beat Kevin Lee. Before that, it was just a really impressive streak against fringe-guys at best, same as Islam. Charles took the next step. People can pick whatever reason they want and put blame anywhere, but Islam hasn't yet.
