I would hate to see Luke retire this guy has been my favourite middleweight ever i know lot people dislike him for reasons i can understand but he still is the guy who finished Weidman after he decided he was wonderboy it can't be over for Rockhold it just can't be .....

should he go up to 205 to try his luck in a new division ?

Rockhold really did deserve to eat some humble pie against Bisping.

People really hate on Rockhold here, but the dude is a great fighter and I really look forward to his fights. If he doesn't do the trilogy with Bisping next, he should def move up to LHW. LHW is so trash it's sad. Rockhold should strike now. The weight cut has clearly been taking it's toll on him. He's been talking about moving up for a while now.

Hope he moves up. Unlike most here, i actually like him. I can understand why people despise him but you cant deny the fact that he is a great fighter.
Think he will move up next year when dc retires. Only 33.

He has got another 3 or 4 good years left in him. Tyron woodley won the title when he was 33. He will be fine.

His striking has been exposed badly, so he needs to improve it dramatically. It seems that everytime he can´t take the fight to the ground and it stays on the feet, he is getting his ass kicked.

I understand what you're saying, logically it seems like a good fit fight for both guys.. however in my opinion Bisping is the more "in-demand" fighter. So you can't blame the guy if he doesn't fancy yet another re-match/rubber fight in favor of a more high-profile opponent. It's not like their last fight left much fat to chew for the speculative gents among us.

I agree, but it's only a perfect fight from our perspective as fans. 14 of Brunson's 18 wins have come via stoppage... and whilst some may say it's unfair to base our opinion of Rockhold's striking defense on his losses I disagree. I appreciate the SoCal surfer dude only has 4 losses in 20 fights, but all of his losses have come via KO. He clearly has holes in his game that could be exploited by a dangerous dude like Brunson.

Long story cut short... the Brunson fight makes sense... to us, but in no way is it a perfect fight as far as Rockhold is concerned. In fact, it could be the fight that confirms his spot on America's Next Top Model.
