What's next for Lando "wobble t-ferg" Vannata?

give him some top 20 - 15 guys, just cause he did good against a top 3 doesn't mean he has to get top 10's right away.

build him up a lil bit.

can't think of a fight more likely to get fotn of the top of my head, potential carnage with blood canvassing the octagon, both have super high lvl stand up. duffy vs tferg would be pretty fucking cool too at some point come to think of it...

That would be a fun fight for sure.

Brooks should get a top 10 guy next.
Probably but Landon will be top 10 eventually and it gives Brooks a chance to get built up and gives Landon a chance to get a big win....and it would set up a rematch later down the line

Maybe Paul felder or maybe Nick Lents

So after an impressive short notice UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 91 for Vannata where he not only wobbled Tony Ferguson 3 times but nearly finished him at one point in the first round, what do you guys think is next for him in the 155 pound division?

Almost finishing someone don't mean shit if you lose. Never seen so much hype for a guy that got finished

Kind of annoying how this "he should be a featherweight" shit keeps getting perpetuated. He's average size for a lightweight, average height at 5'9" and cuts from 170. He looked small next to Ferguson like every lightweight looks small next to Ferguson, Ferguson is fucking enormous for lightweight. We've seen him once at lightweight in the UFC when he massively exceeded all expectations against the #3 in the division, and people are already calling for him to drop down a weight class. Maybe, just maybe, the man himself and his coaches at Jackson-Wink are better qualified to determine his proper weight class than random Sherdoggers.

Let me ask you a question. What's more impressive, Sage Northcutt scraping by a non-UFC caliber opponent in Enrique Marin with a decision, or Vannata coming in on short notice to nearly finish the #3 ranked lightweight in the UFC?

Wins and losses don't tell the whole story, that's why we actually watch the fights instead of just looking at records. You sound like the people that go "BJ Penn sucked, totally overrated, just look at his record."

I'm not trying to discredit t-ferg because like a warrior he pulled through and won but he got beat tf up in that first round by someone who came in on short notice for his UFC debut, that's impressive.
