haven't heard much about him since he beat Te Huna and i couldn't find if he had a fight booked or not on a google search. anybody know what he's up to or when/who he'll be fighting next?

Glad he is back to MW. He was absolutely jacked when he decided to drop to WW, and he had only lost a close fight to okami. Not like he was on a skid...

This. I never understood his decision to drop to WW. Hell, he was one of the bigger MWs already.

Would watch. I think Nate could win that fight, as long as he doesn't get Barbarian Comeback Bitch Slapped.

I think he would definitely win that fight. Way better grappler and way ahead of him on the feet. Quicker too

it only takes one from that guy. But still, I like Nate's odds. Dude is radically inconsistent, but on a good day he can take anyone. That armbar? So slick.

I was wondering the same thing. I visited his Twitter last night hoping to see some of his religious tweets, (not that I'm a religious person, I just get a kick out of them.) Sure am glad to see him back at MW though and hope he stays.

There was a thread here about Marquardt's walk-around weight being in the 190s.

He does look big though, ridiculously so at WW. I was pretty shocked when I saw the size difference between him and Woodley during their fight.

Yeah I'd favor Marquardt over Boetsch too.

Its a tough call.

But Boetsch is a tough sonofabitch for real! He is a champion of catching a beating and then finishing the fight.

So though I think Marquard can win, and probably should based on technical prowess and talent, I won't bet against Boetsch in this one. Frankly I would probably pick him.

Yeah Marquard is too inconsistent, and Boetsch's too tough and resilient. I think Boetsch finishes him. Marquard's good, champion's good. But he has alot of off days.

If I had the gif of his beat down on Woodley I'd post it. That was a vicious bunch of strikes.

His chin is busted from sparring with shane carwin if I remember correctly.
dang that was a really weird KO
Yeah. Not sure if I've ever seen another KO where a guy was actually running sideways when he got knocked out haha

He's pretty much a MW version of Overeem so far as I can tell.

No he wasnt.

yes he was... he was way bigger then small mw's like Maia and Kampmann. a little bigger then guys like munoz and smaller the Giant MW's like Okami but not that much smaller..

I'm really glad to see Marquardt winning again, I was bummed to see him get KTFO twice. He beats Boetsch IMO. A Leites rematch would also be cool but I think Nate would need another good victory first. Thales is on a nice little tear.
