135 is a young division and it looks like it's Dom than TJ. Unless Dom gets back in the octagon and puts on a good performance I don't think he will do much more. TJ is better than ever and finishes his fights the majority of the time and Cruz only has one more win than TJ.

What would TJ do to surpass Dom and get the respect he deserves?

Nothing according to Sherdog. There's literally nothing he can do lol

Stop trying to fight flyweights FFS.

TJ would have to get a win against Cruz (on short term).
On long term, he would have to dominate his division...
...but alas, TJ is only interested in fighting a guy from a lower division...

He's going to defend his belt. This is a compelling fight with 2 of the best and as long as TJ makes the weight it shouldn't be an issue. 135 doesn't really have a true number 1 contender and he should fight the winner of Rivera/Moraes after the Dj fight

He already has imo. I thought he won the first fight w cruz and he will def beat cruz in rematch. Look how easy he dispatched neck tats. Thrilla in manillashaw is here to stay

Defend a belt enough times. Same thing anyone would have to do to secure goat status in a division.

I don’t get how anybody can objectively score that fight for Dilly. Don made him look foolish for 3 rounds before he hurt his ankle.

Beat him....again.

the fight with Cruz could have gone either way and there was nothing easy about the fight with Cody. He was nearly stopped at the end of the first round.

He needs to decisively beat Cruz by finish or clear decision.

Then he'd be 1-1 with Cruz who held the belt for way longer with way more title defenses. TJ has a lot of work to do to pass Cruz.

I agree with you, I think if Tj beat Jimmie Rivera and/or Cruz that does it for me. Cruz hasn't looked that impressive since beating Dillashaw the first time

Well, I don’t disagree there. But he needs to start with that.

TJ is underrated just two split decisions in the last while as far as losses and lots of finishes and awesome fights

Well to me who is it at BW you want TJ to fight Dom/Cody coming off a loss...he’s beaten Raphael recently and Rivera and Marlon are matchup vs each other... he wants the division to figure itself out and go down for a fight vs DJ a fight we all wanna see

Dom's last title reign wasn't that great
