After all the upsets we've had this year such as Machida/Davis, Maia/Shields, Silva/Weidman, etc... I am very susceptible to more upsets in upcoming cards.

So, which one do you see as a bigger upset? DC losing to Roy Nelson or Melendez losing to Sanchez.

In my opinion DC losing to Roy may not be that big of an upset as Roy can always land that one huge punch and it's the heavyweight division so you never know what to expect.

Melendez losing to Sanchez would be huge in my opinion as I see Melendez beating Sanchez everywhere from boxing to take-downs to ground game. Having said that people said Maia was better than Shields everywhere too so you never know.

Hmmm I think if Nelson KO'd DC id be more shocked.

Gil should run thru Diego but if he did win, it wouldn't shock me more than Roy.

Gilbert ranked #2, I think it read during the fight night broadcast, losing to Diego, who is ranked what? #19, #20?

    that would shock me more.

I would be more shocked if Diego won. Roy could put anyone out if he connects.

I (and the UFC) will be horrified if DC gets knocked out by Roy.

Gotta go with Sanchez beating Melendez, Roy has real 1 hit KO power, Melendez on paper is better everywhere then Sanchez

I'd say Sanchez beating Gil would be more shocking, Roy is just outside of the top ten and has huge power. As we know anything can happen at HW. Gil is way above Diego as far as rankings go, if Diego does win it will probably be by close decision.

I guess Sanchez beating Melendez because I still believe in the Mir curse*...see if DC can finally break it...

*yes I know Carwin and Lesnar were both coming off Mir wins so the Curse had to improvise so Lesnar took a beating the first round and Carwin just gassed and lost in the second. :)

Why would DC be more shocking?
DC is actually short so he can't use his range to beat him like Mir, Werdum and Miocic did.
So he will stay on the inside clinching, taking him down from there maybe...Roy can catch him.

Diego easily. Roy always has the punchers chance.

Can't see Diego getting the better of any area.

Hard to say. I don't think anyone should be surprised by someone going down to Big Country's right. Anyone can lose on a given night. I also think that Sanchez gets a lot of hate around here and is underrated. While I think he should have lost the Gomi and Kampmann fights, he is still a solid contender.

All that said, I'd be more surprised by Diego winning. I think DC is rightfully a heavy favorite, but Nelson's right is still very powerful.

I've got Melendez winning the Diego fight too, but it's almost shocking seeing how pretty much every sherdogger here thinks it will be a walk in the breeze for Gil. Diego is one absolutely tough mother****er that never gives up and fights it out until the very end. Sanchez is never an easy fight.

Based on the odds, Sanchez would be the bigger upset at +500
