He has serious lung damage from Covid, which may or may not get better. He could end up needing some form of assistance from an oxygen machine for the rest of his life. The possible long-term effects from what happened to him could prevent him from ever fighting again. Damage like this to the lungs isn't as simple as just giving it time. I don't think he's acting like an impatient child, he has a serious condition that doctors have probably told him could very well be the end of his MMA career.

I hope he comes back, he was fun to watch and had a lot of potential.
