I know he was expected to wipe the floor with Soto, but Puppyface still was dominant and got the finish. What will he have to do before people agree he deserves the title?

Nothing. Haters will hate.

Same with JBJ haters, Ronda haters, etc.

People saying Faber, Barao, Cruz, Dodson, Assuncao and any others will beat TJ. It's a possibility but they're hating on a guy who had practically 0 time to prepare for Soto, they're just sad people.

Every fighter has doubters that will never change their mind. They're just set on it.

I feel like we go through this on Sherdog with every fighter lol.

Fans will be fans, haters will be haters. Best not to worry about that stuff

For the record, I met TJ one time in an airport. Really nice guy. He chatted with me for awhile and didn't even try to get rid of me.

Barao was not that good period. He is a Brazilian person who UFC owners & matchmakers love to hand things to. That undefeated streak he had, had a couple decent fighters in it. He maybe top 10 in reality

I usually wait until they defend the title twice against top ten opponents. TJ was impressive tonight. I was wondering where his head movement from when he molested Barao went tonight... but he still got the job done. That head kick made Soto look like his soul was leaving his body with that wobble though lol.

I have no problem with TJ as the champ, but tonight was better for Soto than it was for TJ. Soto looked pretty solid and lasted to the fifth on one days notice. That was an accomplishment.

Tj needs to beat somone not from the undercard

Every time a new champ takes over there are a lot of naysayers. Weidman has had the same thing. Is normal.
