He has so many young devotees who have dedicated themselves to his worship. You'll find posters with 2,000 posts and September 2014 join dates, each post singing Conor's praises. Others have incorporated McGregor into their screen names. What will happen to them when he loses? Will they recant? Will they jointly author a thread apologizing for their obnoxious behavior?

I predict that they will abruptly stop posting to avoid ridicule. The remainder will say "well, I never thought he was that good, just exciting." There is a slight possibility of suicide, but I doubt they are that honorable.

What's your prediction (or what will you do)?

The same as I have whenever another favourite fighter of mine lost: continue supporting them.

What will YOU do seems a more appropriate question. You've incorporated McGregor into your sig. If the hype goes away, will you find a new fighter to hate?

They will say it was a fluke and 9/10 he would of won.

Then in the rematch if loses again they will either just disappear or say he was overrated and change their avatars.

I'd take it a step further and say COnor losing would be awesome for his career.

    GSP -WW goat, lost first.
Cain - HW Champ - lost first
Jon Jones - lost due to DQ, fuck it, it counts.
Lidell - Lost first became UFC LHW champ
Pettis - Lost to Guida, became champ
Gus - choked out: not number 1 contender.

Its like I can't lose being a fan.

The fans will still like him and find him an entertaining guy to watch fight and listen to.

The fanatics.... will be on suicide watch.

That step isn't even needed as a fan, honestly.

Think about it this way: two previous losses didn't affect fanaticism from commencing. Why would a loss affect it from continuing?

I don't support people based on records with to begin. That's an ancillary.

well, just to quell the doubters who think conor will be taken out backed and capped for losing one fight. truth is SIver can beat him 9 times and then get cut after conor wins the 10th match.

we need conor is Reem mode, not Jake Sheilds mode, ya know what I'm syaing?

Realize its possible to lose a fight and still be the absolute greatest to ever compete in this sport.

Just like fedor, GSP anderson, ect.

Well that's an interesting way of looking at it. In that sense, I see how you think he can beat Aldo.
