What will happen if Khabib tries to stand with Conor?

His own head coach on the MMA hour this week laughed at the idea of him standing with someone like Nate or Conor and said it's absurd and Khabib is not a great kickboxer, though he is improving.
It's not going to happen. I would say MAYBE he would stand with him after wearing him out with wrestling for a couple rounds - but lets be real Conor is not surviving underneath Khabib for 2 rounds.

How is Khabib going to get close without engaging in some stand up?
Conor doesn't move straight back and has way to good footwork to be backed up to the cage.
Khabib usually closes the distance with a leaping knee or winging uppercuts..
I just don't see how Khabib gets him down without his chin being touched...

Khabib refused to strike with lesser strikers than Conor. The only way I see him willingly standing is in a similar way that he did with Al in the later rounds where the power isn't there anymore.

In pure stand up Conor would not need a single training session, 2-3 minutes tops.
