Assuming he doesn't fight at UFC 200 (T-Mobile Arena), and that he fights sooner than UFC 205 (Madison Square Garden), where do you think the event will take place? The reason I'm curious is because he's spoken of only fighting in Vegas, New York, and Ireland going forward.

If it's Vegas, MGM Grand would be a step down from the new arena, and I'm not sure they'd go back to T-Mobile Arena so soon after UFC 200.

The problem with putting a PPV in Europe is the timezone difference, and the PPV hit that'd take place as a result. However, @FrankieNYC recently posted about the Meltzer report that said Conor no longer gets PPV points, instead receiving big guaranteed money for each fight. So it makes you wonder if he'll try and push for a show at Croke Park, since he no longer cares as much about PPV buys.

An alternative would be to do a stadium show in a more favorable timezone, likely in America or Canada, but possibly in Brazil or Asia/Australia on a Sunday afternoon. Could they finally do that Cowboys Stadium show? Or could they go back to the SkyDome, on a show also featuring the return of GSP? Conor/Nate II and GSP/Nick II.

Thanks for the shoutout brotha.
Good thread
I think it depends on the opponent
Pushing for Diaz in Ireland makes perfect sense for Conor, but does it for Zuffa?
I think there are issues with the time in doing an Ireland fight.

I think an Aldo rematch would be in Vegas. If it's Frankie then MSG. He fights Nate before that in Vegas.

That's the big problem with holding a PPV in Europe, and it always will be. However, there's some positives to the idea...

First, as I said, Conor wouldn't take a financial hit for the loss of PPV buys.

Second, Conor would be able to stay at home to fulfill lots of media obligations, making up for the UFC 200 media obligations debacle.

Third, the UFC's deal with BT Sport ends in August. A McGregor stadium show would be a huge deal in the UK & Ireland, and could be used to leverage a better TV deal with either BT or Sky, and get record ratings for MMA, or they could even try their hand at PPV if they can make the deal with Sky.

Finally, Conor and Dana both for a long time have spoken of doing a show at Croke Park. This show would be a way to fulfill promises made, and make up some of the good will lost through this UFC 200 debacle.

Im not a huge Conor fan but, the best place for Conor to fight would be at MSG New York so he can attempt to make best of his return.
MSGs christening with him headlining would be his best shot.

He'll be fighting for a place in line at the soup kitchen.

could care less where this overrated, protected, attention whore fights again.

This type of thinking got McGregor in the trouble he's currently in.

Vegas LOVES Conor.

His footprint there is huge. International visitors spend 4x the amount of native guests in the City.

Wouldn't be surprised if Zuffa are paid handsomely by Casinos to host & stage Conors fights
