I never really was a big reader, but there was really no way around having to read them if you went to school:D
Some of my favorites were..

Any of the Choose Your Own Adventure books...

I got this Time Life book series for a birthday present one year. I would always look forward to them coming every month.

Hatchet, my side of the mountain, as well as most already posted.

I loved when Book Fairs came to school. My parents would give me a crisp 20 so I could buy a few books.

I would rather spend it on some cookies, chips, sodas and buy the dollar books. Hehe, they got bamboozled.

I'm kidding, but I did love this book fairs and always look for a cool looking cover that got my interest.

Lmao at the Choose Your Adventure entitled “You’re Going to Die” with a crying kid on the cover.

Didn’t mommy and daddy teach you not to judge a book by its cover, son.

There was another series of choose your own adventure type books I remember reading.

They were hardcover, purple, and I remember one has a dinosaur on the cover. There were maybe ten or so in the series.

@Steve-French or anyone else know what I'm talking about?

Remember this one being pretty entertaining.

When I was just a little kid my favorite was Sir Toby Jingle’s Beastly Journey.
