Enough with the decision talks, we're beating a dead horse now , Reyes got robbed.

But I'd like to talk about the performance he put on because the truth is, nobody expected that. Even if you picked him, you didn't predict a decision victory, outclassing Jones like that. I thoroughly enjoyed it and one thing I was extremely impressed with is how he completely took away Jones clinch work (for the most part) and the grimmy elbows and knees Jon has been able to land on basically everybody until now.

Jon controlled the pace and pressured Reyes for the most part, but Reyes was actually able to control the distance and make Jon fight at KB range which is crazy impressive.

Also, I heard one of Jones' coaches between rounds tell him to start fighting in "hunting range", was he referring to getting inside ? I have no idea what that means, never heard it before. .

Anyways, what impressed you most about Reyes last night?

Punching Jon's hand with extended fingers. Low kicks. Footwork.

    Had it 2,4,5 Jones

impressed with his TD defense and rising to the moment. His first 5 round fight. He stayed with it and didn't choke like anthony smith or blow out his knees like santos.

I feel like this thread will backfire.

Nothing is the answer. People just hate Jones.

Reyes did nothing impressive per se

Footwork and Tdd. Reyes might have some of the best lateral footwork on the UFC

He lit Jon up and turned him into a panic wrestler. Straight up turned him into Jon Conor.

My bad, I was referring to your betting against Jones. I’m eyeing that train as well.

Lots! Takedown defense, ability to get back up, composure, cardio (people act like he was Conor gassed for 4 & 5) his cardio was good. Most of all the fact he actually went after Jones. I remember how big Anthony Smith talked & then he shit the bed and I remember thinking Gus would go crazy in the rematch. I was just happy that he didn't get nervous and fight scared, he literally gave Jones no respect and let us all enjoy 25 minutes of a good fight instead of a guy freaking out that hes in the cage with Jones.

Probably his ability to get back up after a takedown, that impressed the hell out of me. Especially that last one. Jones was in DEEP and fully committed, and Reyes just used the cage and popped right back up. Old school Chuck Liddell shit.

Reyes looked scared and nervous all week and then walked out with "that look in his eyes"

One thing I noticed, when he circles to his left he is very good defensively and good at setting up punches or kicks from his power side. When he circled right Jon would land a lot more.

At this point it seems as if Jones has almost no punching power. If Anderson beats Jan I expect him to go right at Jones as well. It may not work as well seeing how he favors inside work over kickboxing range but neither Jones wrestling or clinch work has been as impressive lately.

Unless Jones suddenly starts improving, unlikely seeing how JackWink is a shell of its former self, like Jones, hes going to lose in the next 2 fights. Those fights likely being Anderson and then either Santos or Reyes
