So he had a 4 inch height advantage (likely 5 inches) and a leg length advantage but not a wingspan advantage.

So what was his weight? and what was Volks fight night weight? Did Volk bulk up for this or no?

I have no idea but I bet neither fighter has faced an opponent this strong. They both had gorilla strength.
I would guess max 10-15 lbs difference between them.

Arman is stronger than Volk, he just gassed. Round 1 and 2 were razor rhin in that fight, go back and rewatch it.

Most elite Lightweights step into the cage between 170-175lbs after rehydration.

There probably wasn't more than a 5lb difference between Makhachev and Volkanovski if any at all.

Any gain over 15% of the contracted weight isn't healthy, nor does it confer any real advantages, because it is likely to lead to water poisoning.

I am aware of the diminishing returns and then the point of organ failure and or death in huge excessive weight cuts. I also realize that 20lbs for a smaller guy is a larger % of his overall mass compared to Lesnar cutting 28lbs. Weight cutting needs to be banned like ONE but actually enforced.

Islam didn't look as big as he normally does. I think the short rehydration affected him a lot more than it affected Volk.

Volk looked like a solid 170lbs. His core was very thick. His legs looked double the size of Islam's. I think Islam was around the same weight as well, maybe a few pounds more.

There wasn’t much of a size difference between Islam and Volk due to the short rehydration time, if anything I think it favored Volk quite significantly. Islam just has a lot of haters, becuz the size difference between Jack and Brown was much greater and it wasn’t mentioned very much leading up to the fight

R1 Islam defends Arman's TD attempt, reverses him, presses Arman against the cage and eventually gets a trip take down and has near full mount with Arman's legs trapped. Islam had to work a lot harder to get Volk down. Arman has excellent scrambles but Volk still looks stronger to me.

Every few events you will see a fighter in UFC/Bellator have their fight cancelled after successfully making weight for "medical reasons".That medical reason usually is because a fighter contracted water poisoning after rehydrating too much.

There are plenty of problems with ONE's system its why no other major organization has adopted their model. A fighter making a weight hydrated does not mean they made the weight healthy. Hydration testing is not a cure.

Arman was back to his feet from that trip in about 30 seconds and outlanded Makhachev in both rounds 1 and 2 in total strikes I believe. There was very little control time in the first 2 rounds.

I was talking about Volk being Islam's strongest opponent to date. Like actual strength. As for the Arman fight, it was scored 30-27, 30-27, 29-28. Arman threw more but Islam landed more. Islam beat Arman in the clinch, in take downs, and in control time.

LoL Lesnar never fought at 293. He even claimed 305 at one point. Him and Carwin were both claiming to be 290+ in cage for their fight. For Reem vs Lesnar, the ufc billed it as "the biggest HW fight ever" and "it doesn't get any bigger". Except it does.
Fuckers.

Arman landed more total strikes, Islam landed slightly more significant strikes despite there really being very few actual significant strikes. First 2 rounds were super close.

Volk looked really heavy likely 5-10 lbs more than Islam and prolly on Tittyboy's special juice formula as well.
