It's been well known that McGoof's ground game was the weakest aspect of his game but his chin and cardio were generally accepted as being really good. Especially, his chin.

Nate has often been regarded as having pillow fists yet it was those exact pillow fists that rocked McGoof and ultimately led to the finished.

In addition to McGoof's "granite" chin failing him, his cardio seemed to fail him as well. In the 2nd round no less.

I don't know what was more surprising lack of cardio or lack of chin but I was thoroughly surprised by both.

Lack of fighting intelligently. You don't go into a fight two weightclasses above what you fight at and expect to slug with anyone.

I think Conor bought into his own hype. He tried to finish Diaz with every punch, gassed out, got lit up, and choked out.

Cardio you can work on, but that chin gave way to a relatively low volume of strikes compared to what it would normally take Nate to wear someone down and start hurting them.

Opponents must be growing in confidence after watching that fight.

Connor being much more of a business man than a fighter

mcgreggor never will be champ his defense is too poor, has no groundgame or wrestling offense/defense. he is one-sided , anyone that has one punch KO power or groundgame can beat mcgreggor.

RDA would have murdered this guy

He didn't get tired because of cardio. He got tagged. His chin is good, he could have survived the whole ordeal if his ground was solid.

This. I also want to add, you don't go into a fight two weightclasses above what you fight and shoot for a takedown

so the new "cool" thing for haters to do is take the "Mc" and then add any random insulting word..... and create a nickname??

Wow he going from being the Messiah on Friday to being McCriticize on Sunday, nobody could find or say anything wrong about him Friday but today the Monday morning quarterbacks are on the war path. I was talking as much shit as I could on here just having a little fun with Conor's fans but it seems today I am the only taking up for him. All his casual clingers are jumping ship.

I said after the Mendes fight that Conor's penchant for using his chin as his first line of defense would catch up to him. He took some big shots in that fight. It caught up to him even quicker than I thought it would. He obviously needs that size advantage he's used to at FW.

thats to be expected, its sherdog after all lol

After watching the fight over and over, I don't see the gas. I see him standing and trading, then getting hit clean with a straight. His face goes into "WTF" mode and starts backing up. If he were gassed, he would've put his hands up while backing up to defend himself. It was like he was almost out of his feet. He got rocked. When he had enough of the exchanges on the feet, he panicked and went for the takedown.

he fought nate all wrong. No more no less.

there is a reason the people who have beaten the diaz's beat them the way they do. Even when bendo and rda had nate hurt they made sure to not go all in. at the end of the day nate has to many skills for mcgregor

mcgregor was tired and wanted out.

for conor fans, this should be much more of a disappointment than his chin. he seemed disheartened more than hurt by the punches, as in, "am i really this tired already and getting his this easily?"

So:
Cuts a lot of weight so he can fight smaller opponents
Displayed bad fight IQ
chin trouble (? not sure I agree)
Cardio not all it could be

Anything else?

He fought the same fight as Rhonda did, charge forward and lead with your chin! Maybe that chin is granite at FW, but not at WW. Thank GOD he wasn't fighting Robbie Lawler, he may have been killed!
