What to expect in Vegas (UFC 168)

Hey guys, I'm going to the mgm over Christmas, first time in Vegas ever, I'm a Brit
I can't afford 168 tickets but was just wondering what the deal is over there,
Are the weigh ins inside the arena and they are free right?
Also how do I go about watching 168 that night is there plenty of sports bars and stuff?
(We have nothing like that here)
And do you think there's a good chance of bumping into fighters as I'm in the mgm ?

Expect hoes, blow, gambling and some more hoes. And yea I guess the UFC.

But yea you will definitely bump into fighters at the MGM, and there are ALOT of bars/restaurants in vegas showing the fights for sure so don't even worry about that.

Not sure about the weigh ins, if they're for free or not.

Oh and if a woman happens to make a move on you, and you think WOW USA is great, girls never make a move on me back in the UK, calm down, she's a hoe. Refer to my first statement of expecting alot of hoes.

Our local pub does lock ins for the big ufc events, gets real messy! Where in Manny are you?

usually weigh-ins are free, back in 2005 I remember them doing the weigh-ins at studio 54 nightclub at MGM, long before everything blew up so crazy...I think they actually do them in the arena now, definitely try and attend that and you might be able to score some free tix. Dana White sometimes has those scavenger hunts for tickets. Not sure how its gonna work for that event, but there's always a chance to get some free tix if you're near the arena around fight time and they haven't sold out (pretty sure that night might be sold out, but you can hope for the best).

As mentioned above, there's plenty of bars and restaurants all around that will be showing the fight, so if you end up not scoring some tix, you can catch it at lots of spots, pretty sure even at the MGM if you don't feel like leaving, and definitely right across the street at the Hooters hotel

I'm actually gonna be in town this coming week and they're doing a press conference on Tuesday at the MGM I think, so I'll try to catch that myself

I've been to Vegas on several UFC weekends, too be quite honest you wouldn't even know there's an event lest you watch MGM Grand's big screen advertising one.

By watch at a bar, I assume you mean somewhere on the strip, Casino wise I've only seen free UFC cards, never a PPV. Your best bet on the strip would be to check Diablo's in front of the Monte Carlo, pretty sure they show all the PPVs.

Off the strip, I'm sure there are tons of bars showing them, you would need a cab or rental car though.

Really? I don't plan on leaving mgm much it's my first time in USA I have heard people say vegas is full of freaks

Free weigh ins, fighters in abundance, and a number of venues with the Card Televised.
Bring a heavy jacket as December in Las Vegas can be quite cold, 20's are not uncommon.
You'll have a great time, I'm sure.
