Get Tinder and swipe right. I live in Hawaii and there is a steady stream of tourists that come through. Over the last few months I have dated several from San Diego and they have all said what a poor selection of men there is. Seems like it would be a good place to date and have some fun on a visit.

They have good Mexican food everywhere, and the Whaley House is supposedly the most haunted place in America if you believe in such nonsense.

Otherwise, hang out on the beach, hit the bars at night.

If you have kids, Sea world is a much better bang for your buck than Legoland.

Also, if you want to hang out near the beach, I recommend.... OB for a more hippy vibe and definitely get fish tacos from South Beach Grille. There are lot of mom and pop stores around there. Hodad's seems to be the happening place there but I'm kind of meh on their sandwiches.

PB is great for clubs and bars if you don't mind a lot of college students..

Mission beach is very touristy but Belmont Park can be fun. The plus side to MB is it's clean compared to OB.

LaJolla Cove and Beach are nice too, and if you like hanging out around the posh people and eat at fancy places, that's your spot.

If you like a little less crowded beach, travel up north to Del Mar and Encinitas.

Otherwise you can't go wrong with wandering around Downtown/Gaslamp and maybe going to a Padres game if they are in town. Around there too is Seaport Village.

Balboa Park is okay if you like Golfing and of course the Zoo is there, but just a heads up, it's expensive for a day pass. There are other museums to go there too.

If you want good Mexican food, Old Town is a good place to start.

@mrsenor I'm dead serious, I used to come out here for vacation once or twice a year. Last year I met my current gf on Tinder and we maintained a long distance relationship between SD and Chicago until I moved here four months ago. When she offered to let me stay at the house she lives in by herself if I moved here, I didn't even hesitate. I already wanted to move here for the past ten years or so and seriously started considering it three years ago.
