Why is it considered? Because Cotto has a belt at 154 so Pac could take another belt in another division with little risk since it's a guy he dominated just recently. They're going to try to sell the "cotto train with steward now he'll do better" angle but yeah, I agree with you, this is a terrible idea.

    Cotto would decline the fight.

Eh. Wouldn't pay for Pacquiao-Cotto II. Cotto was hurt by some of Foreman's shots and we all know Foreman has no power (it's really weird typing that phrase). Even at 154, I believe Pacquiao would clean house with Cotto.

Not a good enough consolation prize in case Mayweather-Pacquiao falls through again if you ask me.

I wouldn't pay for it like I did the first one, but I wouldn't mind it. Pacquiao gets another belt and it would a be a nice beatdown offense while it last.

This is almost as bad as Mayweather trying to give Hatton a revenge match..lol

    I kid I kid

I don't think they are serious.. I think they are trying to convince May to shit or get off the pot by displaying other options.

I bet both fighters are willing. Pacquiao gets another belt from another division and builds his legend, Cotto gets another big ass paycheck before he winds down his career. Believe me... This fight could be possible.

They're both Top Rank, Arum will do anything to keep the money in house and create the illusion that there are other fights as interesting as Pacquiao Mayweather. I would rather see a rematch with Cotto and Margarito, and I really don't even want to see that fight that much.

Given the situation, I'm not surprised Michael Koncz would make such a statement. They're sitting there waiting for Mayweather to either say yes or no.... when prompted with the question of course they're going to posture with all of their awesome 'options'....everybody knows what's up and what fight everyone wants to see, everything else is just the pageantry (wussup Lampley:) that'll lead us there.

Because Uncle Arum wants to give Manny another title in another weightclass.

Miguel should turn the fight down.
