I prefer the neckband style like this...

Because I like to use them when I'm cutting the grass, raking the yard, cutting wood, or snow blowing the driveway. I also wear them to work sometimes as I do construction (mostly carpentry) and they make for good earplugs even if I'm not listening to anything through them. However I don't listen to anything through them when I'm working with other people as it's kind of a safety hazard being shut out like that on a job site.

I'm not the type of person that is always listening to music, but I like to have my earbuds in when I'm doing labor intensive work, and the around the neck style is better than the earbuds imo, because I won't fuck one up or lose one if it pops out of my ear.

One Wireless bud if I'm going to be in the car or on the go someplace I need to be more aware of my surroundings.
Wireless cans if I'm around the house or in a controlled environment.

I use airpods.

I used to use wired in ears, but they kept breaking often, and I just got tired buying new ones every half a year or so.

I usually wear my wireless AirPods on the go, except on airplanes where I prefer my earmuff since they have better noise canceling than the airpods.

Ever since I used bluetooth/wireless headphones there's no turning back!

You'll never have to worry about your headphones getting caught on something or forgetting they're on and dragging your whole damn phone or dropping it on the ground. If you're at the gym, you can place your phone anywhere while you workout.

Only downside is when I have my bluetooth on and the car always hijacks the sound, that's not good.

If working like gardening or cleaning then round the neck ones.

If walking to work or similar then ear muff

Ear muff. The in the ear ones don't work for me anymore because I have a bit of cauliflower ear. Never liked them anyway since they hurt after a while and sound like shit if they aren't in perfectly.

By ear muff, do you mean, on ear or over ear? And why cant i have more than 1 choice?

I have airpods and JBL style wireless. The JBL ones are more comfortable since I have cauliflower ear.

Got a pair of jh audio ciems that are custom acrylic molded to my ears. No tips just amazing sound. 10 drivers per ear piece.
And some shure se835 wired that you can pop off and put Bluetooth adapters on. wired sound is just so much better that I never use Bluetooth

I still use the wired in ear. For some reason my left earphone always falls out so I am scared to get wireless.
slightly different sized ears, could be from birth or like me I got cauliflower ear pretty bad at the base of my ear in highschool from wrestling so my left ear is a tighter fit than my right one, can sometimes be kinda painful, have to use different sized ear cups so you could get some true wireless just make sure they have the different sized ear cup attachments you prob need a bigger one in one ear

I mostly use over ear muffs but those suck for exercise and ive been trying to get back in shape lately so I have been thinking about my options so a timely thread and relevant to my interests
