What ruined Tony's career? (Informal Poll)

1. Being a total douche
2. Wearing sunglasses inside
3. Finally fighting top 5....I mean top 10 competition and getting destroyed 3 times in a row.

Hope he's better at mixing drinks and is a good bartender for who ever relies on him(financially) sake.

Tony's problem is not his age or health, it's his skills sets, finally he met great fighters who fought their fight and refused to follow up to Tony's crazyness. Flashy kicks and rolls don't make you win fights, now I know he didnt do them in this fight with beneil but he was known for those tricks.

First of all he was never that good.
Secondly age, and thirdly his injuries and that beating he took from Gaetjhe.

Injuries. Not just the wire, but the whole long list of training methods. Reflexes are different, balance different. Once you tear your leg, it will always be less than 100%. And this guy was kicking steel pipes.

It didn't necessarily ruin his career, he still has a MMA career that many people all over the world can only dream on.... But those insane training methods just did the damage. And put a huge road block on his potential dominant status at 155. Plus, the weight cut.

he tried to give a show and ate too many innecessary punches

just bleed god approves tony

I think Tony had a great career. Definitely not lucky to get that super fight or the title shot, but still a great career.

Tire tread / damage caught up to a fighter whose window was wide open for awhile.
It happens, especially with the fight style of a Ferguson.

Probably ten years out of his prime + miles + sustained damage.

Tony’s 80 point iq is what ruined his career. Stupid choices made again and again - in training, in career management, in the cage. The guy is a moron.

In most of his wins he was either knocked down or survived by cheating a bit. Toughness can only get you so far.
Plus he had no good teams the last few years.
Him being crazy and dumb doesn't help.

Also he landed more kicks on the octagon than on Dariush

His age maybe...?
Or his tendency to get hit a lot + his age?
Or the fact that new fighters emerge plus his tendency to get hit a lot and his age...?

People always seem to forget that new young fighters emerge, for some reason they all think that 1 guy will be at the top forever... The UFC hype machine is doing a great job to brainwash people into believe this

He rushed his return after his injury.
