Need people who have LIVED in the Deep South for years not vacationed
I am looking for the answer to a very specific question: what part of the American Deep South (Texas, Alabama, Mississippi Louisiana) gets the hottest at the peak of summer? Not the hottest year round mathematically but the absolute peak of "Feels Like" or 'Heat Index' temperature
I am talking places where heat index hits 120 130 you get out of your car and die HOT
The hottest I have ever personally seen is 134 in south Ohio on an extremely humid day, which made people pass out but it was only for a couple hours. Was 122 consistently in South Carolina for several days in a row on vacation and I was wondering is anywhere hotter than that.
Is there some remote region of the giant swamp that hits 130 or 140 heat index?
I have done some research and come up with this list of contenders
1. Brownsville San Antonio deep south Texas region
2. Somewhere deep in the bayou of Louisiana or Mississippi
3. Appalachia region (which gets WAY hotter than you would think due to humidity)
4. Somewhere in the Carolinas
5. Random place in Alabama
What is the hottest place
