Full disclosure I do have genetic advantages or abnormalities depending on how you want to look at it that make people stare at me which I interpret as me visually exuding coolness..

But things that I have always noticed that generally makes a guy "cool" from an American pop culture standpoint is

1.Jewelry. or the fine watch. From what I've noticed, you cant really be cool if you're a guy and have a cheap time piece.

2. Clothing. obvious answer for most of us. But I've always noticed that the harder one tries with the skinny jeans, and the kangol's, and the Timberland boots. The less cool they actually seem for instance. I typically wear homemade Jorts and a quicksilver rash guard in public. I think most that view me think I'm cool. Granted not many humans can pull coolness off with a $65 dollar outfit but hey.

3. Car. I'm not talking a GD Lambo, or a Ferrari. The vast Majority of men cant afford those. What I've noticed is if you have an S.U.V and you're not married. You're unconsciously viewed as cool by your male peers/competitors.

4.Physique. With the exception of Re-run from "what's happening" there has never been a fat guy considered cool ...arguably Belushi that's it. To be cool you have to be either swole like G.O.T's Mountain, or shredded.

5. Education. You cant be too smart and still be truly considered cool. Really think about Zuckerberg's cool factor, it's about a 3 on a 10 scale. And Bill Gates is the epitome of all that is uncool, and nerd....now Steve Jobs was arguably cool because he had the whole evil genius/prick thing going on.

I've noticed that some people when engaged socially by an individual like Steve Jobs intrinsically ass kiss because of fear and misinterpret the vibe he's putting out as cool. And they don't want to be seen as being intimidated.

So what say you sherbrethren? What "things" generally make a guy cool from an American/Western European P.O.V.?

And who is the coolest sherdogger? my vote goes to Sir Bobalito Boulders.(yes I've knighted Bobby B)

Cool people don't hangout here I'll tell you that much

Drawing on a fake moustache makes one very cool.

Cool is for high school kids. If they still call things cool. They probably don't.

what are the those darn kids saying nowadays?? "swag" "hot" "fire" swaghotfire? seriously I didn't know cool was out of the lexicon

yeah I took my moms eyebrow pencil and gave my budding stache a lil help back in the second grade. going through puberty at such an early age and for all the years that followed was pretty tough.

First you taught me how to love and now you taught me how to be cool.

God bless you.

step 1: be good looking
step 2: be attractive
step 3: be young.

If you ain't any of these three things, let us hope you have some next level charisma. Watches, cars, good wardrobe, etc will win you the respect of douchey men and gold diggers.

Cool? What is this, 2007? The proper nomenclature is "lit".

Doing your own thing and not blatantly following trends.

completely disagree.

If you're not following trends to a certain degree than you fall l into the tired category of the rebel, non conformist, blaze my own path asshole. The secret is to follow the trends. But to not make it seem like your following the trends.

Like I have a cell phone. But its not a smart phone. So years from now when flip phones become "in" again. I will have a retro model, and be viewed as even cooler.

Take hair styles for example. When people were wearing jerry curls, I had an afro. When afros came back in style.... I switched to an S curl ( more advanced version of a jeri curl, that utilized slightly more amounts of activator).

See bro you have to be slightly off the main to be viewed as cool. But not so much off the fashion and behavior norms that are perceived as cool. That you look, and act like a damn hippy or non conformist.

I could go on for days about this topic.

Another great thread from Jack handy

It normally in trances me for about 40 to 50 full seconds.

Glad I'm not alone.

I'm also not entirely sure I've ever read a Bobby post. I get hypnotized and end up thinking the post is the best thing I've ever read.
